Recruiting Specialist

We're looking for a new, dynamic member of our HR/recruiting team, to help us with our continuous growth.

Our HR team helps to manage and develop our culture at BarFly (a few brands you may recognize like HopCat, Stella's Lounge, The Waldron and Grand Rapids Brewing Company), in which our employees don't wear uniforms and can just be themselves at work. This recruiting position is responsible for providing research, support and direction for the talent acquisition of restaurant managers, including additional support for the HR Department.

RECRUITING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Researches markets for recruiting sources for manager candidates for new/existing sites
  • Provides appropriate job description updates for operations management positions
  • Assists with posting recruitment ads for operations managers
  • Prescreens candidates in coordination with the Director of Talent Acquisition, including phone interviews
  • Sets up interviews/schedules for operations manager candidates
  • Provides contact with management candidates to maintain relationships and provide appropriate communication
  • Handles background checks for management candidates
  • Develops offer letters for management candidates
  • Coordinates new operations management candidates with training team and other internal teams (IT, travel, HR).

OTHER HR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages vacation tracking for all salaried employees within ADP.
  • Handle all insurance and benefit updates for salaried employees (eligibility, enrollments, additions, terminations, COBRA).
  • Works with VP of HR to develop/update overall review/feedback process for salaried employees.  Handles the communication and follow up process to ensure it is completed.
  • Coordinates with Unemployment Services to resolve unemployment issues by providing necessary paperwork and resources.

You'll need to have a bachelors degree in human resources/business/related field and/or two years of recruiting experience.
